Drake from Myspace to Space
Born in October 1986 in Toronto, Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, comes from a wealthy family. Following his parents' divorce, the young Drake took on the responsibility of caring for his mother. Passionate about music, his career nevertheless began on screen. He made various appearances in films and television series.
Drake took his first steps in music in 2006 by releasing a mixtape via Myspace . His music was still relatively unknown to the general public, but the press praised his work, and his first single... Replacement Girl Tube of the Day ended in April 2007.
Working with Eminem, Lil Wayne, Mary J Blige or Jamie Foxx, he persists in refusing to sign with a major label. His first album Thank Me Later released in January 2010, and enjoys great public enthusiasm. His music is chosen to be featured on film soundtracks Project X Or NBA 2K11 . His reputation and talent spread from coast to coast, as well as to Europe, after the release of his single What's my name.
Since then, Drake has released two albums: Nothing as the same And Take Care . He also founded a collective of Canadian rappers: OVOXO, which has become a real business over time, with tours and merchandise to boot.
On the personal front, Drake declared his love for Rihanna during the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2016. Surprise! in December 2016, Jennifer Lopez appeared with the rapper on social media.
